Honeymoon in Dali/Caicun

​What a beautiful holiday paradise. A large lake surrounded by mountains, a 30 km (18.6 mile) long car-free promenade, and the most gorgeous sunshine. We are once again off the “international tourist route” and the little children are staring at us again with BIG eyes.

Bicycle tour

For that, there are thousands of rental e-scooters in all variations, and sometimes it’s a wild (but quiet) hustle and bustle when everyone drives crisscrossing. Occasionally, a beautifully decorated Party-Beer-Bus with loud music passes by.

Of course, the girls here are also posing on every corner, making themselves pretty, and quite often dressing in traditional clothes. We go on an extended bike tour, riding up and down the 30 km long promenade.

And others ….

Afterwards, a drink from the Street Cocktail Bar (€3/cocktail). A business-savvy Chinese woman who quickly buys the occasional missing ingredient for the cocktails in the surrounding shops, depending on the order. “I don’t have it” is not in her vocabulary.

The latest fashion craze from the big cities – wearing a hair roller on their foreheads, paired with wide-leg trousers. Short skirts and sexy outfits are totally fine 

Totally awesome here in China. Every hotel has a free-to-use laundry room with dryers. In the big city hotels, they’re actually quite large and well-equipped (detergent, drinks, games, ironing board and steam iron).
