The pandas are cute and large at the same time, and a prime example of vegetarian evolution. They are actually complete carnivores by anatomy, but they eat 99% bamboo. Because there are very few nutrients in bamboo, they spend 14-16 hours a day eating, move extremely slowly, and sleep the rest of the day.

Pandas do not hibernate. If it gets too cold, they migrate deeper into the valley. To mark their territory, they do a “handstand“, pressing their glands against the tree; the higher the scent mark, the “bigger and stronger” the bear.
The “Red Pandas”
It’s clever to go to the panda zoo early, because feeding time is in the morning and you avoid the crowds. Here in the Panda Park, there are also the “Red Pandas,” which are not actually pandas but belong to the Ailuridae (or “cat-bear”) family. But they are just as cute as the pandas.

The “red pandas” were sighted 50 years before the discovery of the black and white pandas and were given the name “Panda = bamboo eater” (Nigalya Panya). So, the large panda was named after the small pandas.
Only in China
The panda only lives in China and is the National Animal of the Chinese. Almost all pandas on Earth belong to the Chinese and are only leased to international zoos (for a lot of money).
